Lifeguard Training in Cyprus
SSI certification for pool, beach and waterfront. Practical training that prepares you for real situations.
The Certification Has to Mean Something
A lifeguard qualification is only useful if the training behind it is serious. Anyone can sit through a course and collect a card. What actually matters is whether you can read a situation, get in the water fast, and handle what you find when you get there.
Triton Learning Centre is an authorised SSI Lifeguard Centre. We have been training lifeguards in Cyprus for over twenty years – people who went on to work at hotels, beaches, water parks and resorts across the island and beyond. The training is practical, the standards are real, and the certification is recognised across Europe and internationally.

Why Train as a Lifeguard?
Work is Available
Hotels, resorts, water parks and beaches in Cyprus need certified lifeguards every season. Qualified candidates find positions. Uncertified ones don’t. The course pays for itself quickly.
The Hours Work for Most People
Lifeguarding suits students, people between jobs, seasonal workers and career professionals. Full-time, part-time and seasonal contracts are all common. It fits around a lot of different lives.
Your Certification Travels
SSI is recognised internationally. Certify here in Cyprus and you can work in Greece, Spain, the UAE, or anywhere else that employs lifeguards to a recognised standard. It doesn’t stay local.
The Work Is Worth Doing
Most jobs don’t put you in a position where your actions directly save someone’s life. This one does. The people who take that seriously tend to be good at it.
Training for Hotels, Resorts and Facility Managers
If you manage a facility that requires certified lifeguards on duty, we can train your team directly. We work with hotels, private beaches, water parks and resort operators across Cyprus – on your site, on a schedule that fits your operation, and we are registered with Anad and Ermis for Government Subsidies to cover most of the costs to the Resorts and Hotels.
Checklist items:
- On-site training at your facility
- Group rates for multiple candidates
- Scheduling built around your season and staffing needs
- Compliance documentation for inspections and licensing
- Ongoing refresher programmes to keep certifications current
We also advise on broader aquatic safety – rescue equipment, AED placement, emergency action planning, and staff protocols. If you want a full review of your facility’s safety setup, get in touch and we will talk through what makes sense.
